We don't normally review promotional items but when BluesBunny recently caught the band live, these CDs were getting handed out to all and sundry so we feel justified.
There are only five tracks on this EP from Big Baby Ernie but every one is a winner. "John Lennon Lives in my Piano" is a pop masterpiece. "Fairweather Father" is funky and commercial. "Crazy Crazy" is more laidback with a tasty guitar solo. "Song for my Mother" features some fine falsetto harmonies. "Hurricane Song" is a scorching live version of a track from the ""Where I Live" album.
Just this side of perfect. That's a hint. Track it down. If there is any justice, Big Baby Ernie should be (Ok, for lack of a better word) big.
