More arthouse rock from New England's Fluttr Effect. This 2006 release gives us more of their instrumentally dense compositions.
Kara Trott's vocals provide the main appeal. However, the main problem with this album was that it did not appear to go anywhere. There were plenty of clever musical moments and sudden tempo changes reminiscent of seventies prog-rock. Songs did tend to merge into each other with only "Venus Loves Hades" really convincing BluesBunny that he was listening to a song rather than a jam session.
Interesting overall, but a bit too clever and self indulgent for its own good. Worth a listen though.
