Originally hailing from Puerto Rico, Katira Alvarez gives us some fine songs in both English and Spanish.  Although there is a tendency to get a bit repetitious at times, there are a few real nuggets contained within this release that make it all worthwhile.

Best track is "Sexy", which has a fantastic sultry, bluesy, summery rhythm and feel to it, you can almost see the evening stars, feel the sand between your toes, the gentle breeze on your (well) sorry started to drift of a bit there!  "Záfame", with its Mediterranean/Latin sound is the best of the songs she sings in Spanish and "High and Low" is another fine sultry sounding number.  Of the others, as fine song as it is, singing about "Beautiful Babies" is probably not going to endear her to her male audience!

With a beautiful voice and some fine songs at her disposal Katira certainly has a lot going for her.  El conejito de los azul quisiera oír más.
