A fine blend of pop-flavoured indie rock music out of Detroit from under-rated singer song writer and guitarist Liz Larin. This is one of those CD's that grows on you with each play although it also has its fair share of songs that immediately grab your attention, the prime example being "Pretty Is", a superb rough edged gem with a highly catchy duet chorus that simply rocks along - and really should have been a hit.
"Mary's Garden" is another particularly catchy song with a more acoustic feel and "Golden Boy" is a wonderfully subdued melodic song that you can't help but like. As well as writing all the songs and playing guitar, Liz also contributes keyboards and bass along the way. Definitely recommended.
