And another lovely little slice of twee pop pie clatters through the letterbox at Bluesbunny Towers. This time it is from Manchester five piece band Amida.
It's as cute as you might think being more like the Smittens (with a latte) rather than the Felt Tips (with a ginger beer). There's a nice touch of melancholy about the songs with "Weather" standing head and shoulders above the rest. However, that feeling of wistful melancholy disappears for about 45 seconds on "Beauty Fades" being temporarily replaced by a raucous interlude of Hayzee Fantayzeeness. It's a bit scary. I blame the cheese.
As usual from Wee Pop, this release came on a cute three inch CD and is part of a limited release of 160 copies. Available from the Wee Pop website.
