Magick Bullet Theory are a garage rock trio from Annapolis, Maryland and that's just about all the biographical information that I can give you on this band. This self titled album would appear to be their debut release.
There are 14 tracks here so there's value for money and if you like your power chords then much that is contained here will please you with "Aida" and "Midnight Sunlight" showing the necessary focus and determination in getting the band's musical message across. "Ladykiller" also impresses as it swaggers about in domestic decay and empty beer bottles. There are weaker efforts, however, such as "Marrion Barry" or "Sex Wax" that reek of adolescent and derivative metal bands
So, overall this is a decent enough debut album if lacking consistency in its musical direction. I also think that some judicious quality control would have gotten rid of a few songs and the album would have been all the better for it.
