Another fine release from one of Detroit's hidden talents, and in our opinion her best to date.  The sound has an all together more powerful quality than her previous recordings, and Liz's voice just seems to pack more of punch and have a much deeper intensity to it.

The opening track "Photograph", despite a worrying start featuring a ten second burst of electronica, soon builds into a great rock song.  The quality keeps going with "We Are Not Strangers Anymore" and "Taste of Fate" both having a pulsating rhythm and beat that help Liz's vocals just sweep over you and carry you along, and are somewhat reminiscent of the style of Marianne Faithful's "Broken English" album.

"You Mistook Me for a Boy" is another highlight that has a slightly funkier feel, although it still rocks in no uncertain terms.  Of the others the indie-pop sounding "My Luck Has Changed" has hit single written all over it (if there was any justice that is), and "Breathe" is a gentler, slower paced song that still retains the intensity that permeates the album.

If you're already a Liz Larin fan then I'm sure you don't need us to tell you how good this is - however if you're not yet convinced, then we strongly recommend you start here. You should be able to get a copy from CDBaby.
