There was a time when music was fun. Those where the days when being in a band meant more than going to Cash Converters, buying a guitar, learning three chords, getting a trendy haircut and becoming instantly cool. Or at least you were cool within the confines of that full length mirror in your sister's bedroom.
Schnapps, on the other hand, hark back to simpler times. Fun times like the heyday of garage bands like the Dictators. Times when songs were simple snotty and full of bad attitude. So "Crossdresser" is a growling, snarling, unhealthy little ditty that reeks of cigarettes and cool. It's not subtle and not meant to be but, hey, it's harder to be man these days (or so the lyrics go…) so take a walk on the wild side. Just remember to wash your hands afterwards.
"More To Life Than Peach" brings more of the same with a memorable riff underpinning a Richard Hell does the Stones vocal. Just the thing to chill out to before the police arrive. It's good to have your lawyer on speed dial.
Something for you to remember - a '57 Chevy might not be shiny and new but it is a hell of a lot cooler than your Dad's Mazda.
