New wave style rock and pop with a guitar heavy line of attack coupled with a female lead singer with a bit of attitude is this bands modus operandi - or so they'd have you believe.  It is ironic then that it is actually a couple of acoustic songs that really standout, but more of that later.

Songs of the straight forward rock persuasion that are worthy of your attention are "Beauty Queen" with great hooks and a solid and energetic rock beat; and the more mid-tempo "Love Reliever" where singer Rachel Prochaska makes it clear who's boss - you tell 'em girl!  "Hate Your Guts" is more solid rock sandwiched between a doo-wop beginning and end and is another to check out.

The previously mentioned acoustic songs are really excellent.  On "I Shouldn't Love You" the guitars may have been unplugged, but her mouth certainly hasn't on this bitchin' love song about falling for the wrong type of guy - and ain't that always the truth.  And "Loser" that closes the album is arguably the highlight with great lyrics and the vocals to match.  So there you have it; a rock band whose best songs are actually acoustic!

You figure it out.
