Good name for a band: G For Gnome. Many good bands have had names starting with the letter G. Like Goblin, for example. So how does this band fare in the great game of alphabetical musical fame?

I think the answer to that is most likely that G For Gnome fall in the category of destined for obscurity. I can only assume that the minimalist “I See Them Coming Over The Mountain” has some point if you are smacked out of your head and need something unchanging to occupy you for a whole six minutes and eighteen seconds.  Or perhaps you, like me, will wonder how something entirely synthetic can be so badly recorded? Or perhaps the connoisseurs amongst you will wonder how such a lack of achievement could be dragged out for a whole six minutes and eighteen seconds? “Europe 80” follows on and threatens to get interesting in a Japanese eclectic electronica kind of way before the great God of tedious repetition is once again worshipped in “This Is Where I’m At”.

Hey kids, let’s just say no to drugs instead.
