This is nice. No, really. Sort of dreamy alt-folk in that extremely polite west end of Glasgow way. In fact, just plain nice. Nicely assembled songs. Nicely played songs with the fluffy near harmonies of Wull Swales and Jennifer Sinclair (of the Second Hand Marching Band) on “Gies A Wave” giving you that warm all over feeling. Likewise, “Roses On The Beach” shows its sentimental colours with smart words over the kind of lilting melody that makes you go all nervous just like the first time.
Where We Lay Our Heads are a nice organic band. You certainly won’t catch them trying to steal your wallet.
