An acoustic all girl group from Glasgow? That’s got to be a selling point, if not a unique one. Anyway, let’s get to the heartbreak. There’s got to be heartbreak, hasn’t there?
Well, perhaps not as fluffy bunnies and nice dresses aren't really the order of the day here. Instead, a rather more pragmatic and occasionally morally dubious approach to lyric writing has been taken with Miss T, Miss Yellow, Little Miss and Miss Bianca showing themselves to be thoroughly modern misses. Take the crumbling reality of “Mr Muscle” - “…you’ve got the love and I’ve got the gin” - or the elegantly underplayed bitterness of “Song Six” as proof of that.
Admittedly, the crude production does let the side down a bit but I’d still say that The Miss’s are definitely worth spending some cash on. Anyone for a glass of Echo Falls?
