Woke up this morning. Yes I did. Jumped into my car and fired it up. Headed off on to the highway of life and thought to myself that there was a question unanswered. That unanswered question was what music would best accompany my journey through the road works of despair?
And so it came to pass that the Acorn project took on that task with their album “Generation Debt”. Now, “Generation Debt” is a nice soft rock album put together with more feeling than most. With a purpose no deeper than to entertain, the Acorn Project make for decent driving music here with the likes of “Bank Robbery” making easy of the upshifts and the (presumably named after the third coolest moustache on the planet) “Tom Selleck” settling in for that long distance cruise even it was more “Midnight Caller” than “Magnum “but, hey, it is an urban jungle out there.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the press release indicates that there is a good cause behind this album. Kind of figured that they were better connected than me…
