The Dead Sea Souls are a crowd pleasing band. I've seen that myself on several occasions. They keep it simple for the beer soaked masses with their ska flavoured rock songs reflecting back to the days when songs had both melody and a big singalong chorus. So, it was little surprise that their "Faces" EP" would follow that path with "Faces", "All Heart" and "Rocket" being what will no doubt be regarded as perfect festival music in years to come.
Against that, they do sound a bit flat and restrained here compared with their buoyant live performances and the less said about the miserable remix of "All Heart" that rounds of this EP the better.
So, a likeable band with likeable songs. All they need is to capture their live sparkle and they should ascend rapidly in to stardom.
