When you have been around as long as The Dwarves have then you would anticipate that a slowdown would be in order to give time for a reflection on a life spent in the service of the Lord. Oops, must have been smoking those herbal cigarettes again. This is The Dwarves after all and they have been practising their musical mayhem since the eighties.

Bow down therefore before the glory of sub three, sub two and, yes, sub one minute songs that take an axe to good taste and political correctness with that rusty blade rapidly polished to a keen shine in "Working Class Asshole" and "Happy Birthday Suicide". Hell, you were probably expecting something along those lines given the dwarf and trademark female nudity on the cover.

Nonetheless, the sheer level of frenetic energy squeezed into those spinning grooves is a something to wonder at. Bands that have been at it for a fraction of the time that The Dwarves have been on the block couldn't even dream of keeping up this kind of pace. Maybe there is something in their ethos of – to quote "The Dwarves Are Born Again" – "let's get high and fuck some sluts".

Sound quality? This isn't hi-fi demonstration stuff you floppy fringed fool!  No, you'll be playing this LP so bloody loud that your neighbours will think you are having the best party ever and they will duly kick your door down to join the fun.  Memo to brain: buy more beer!

Oh, and you get a free DVD featuring sex, violence, bloodletting, lesbianism and nudity too…

Praise the Lord!
