The Internet makes the world a smaller place and yet more evidence of this comes from Adios Nine with their Pundit Bandit EP. I mean, the band hails from Indonesia and their music nonetheless found itself in my inbox.
Rather curiously, Adios Nine is a very western sounding band with a style that exists on the cusp between twee pop and power pop. They have an organic sound especially evident on"Adieu" which, I suppose, must suggest they are on the same track that Belle & Sebastian used to walk. "Mood Remote" is a touch more American in that old style folk rock kind of way but transatlantic sounds were hardly a stranger to B&S either while the lyrically quirky title track sees the album off on a power pop high.
The cold weather might be fast approaching but these songs will surely remind you of summer. The EP can be downloaded for free from Bandcamp.
