It can't be said that Belfast band Tied To The Machines are out to steal your heart. In fact, I'd go as far as to say they are actually out to steal your kebab. Bands, like Tied To The Machines, who hover on the cusp of punk and metal are never going to be fresh orange and lemonade. No, they are always going to be whatever beer they are selling at £2 a can.
Without further ado – or any ado at all for that matter – "Otamendi" grinds it up with angst ridden vocals and leather trousered guitar riffs driving the song along faster than a stolen BMW. While "No Huggin' No Learnin'" could just about be accused of sentimentality ( in a Buzzcocks sort of way), it is soon time to put your Pantera t-shirt on and head off to the moshpit as "Sociopath" sprays you with a chant and 100 proof guitar.
So, Tied To The Machines are a band that know how to make some noise. Live and alive, as they say.
