Though they have been about for about a decade now, indie rockers The Day I Snapped seem to have no problem keeping up the relentless pace with their new album “Tales Of Ordinary Madness” providing ample evidence of that. With barely a pause for breath, they power chord their way from “Cohesion and Derision” to the telling “Find The Time” with an eye, no doubt, on those potential American sales.
Certainly, the band exude confidence and testosterone as song after song takes the maximum volume route to evade any form of subtlety but, hey, it’s clearly just their style. Even though they hail from Glasgow, you’d never really guess and I reckon you would likely surmise that they were native to the good old USA.
Probably ideal for listening to after consuming fourteen caffeine drinks, The Day I Snapped is a good example of a band that know how to make commercial indie rock.
