There is no such thing as a bad Teresa James album. Every album delivers the goods. She has one of those worldly wise voices that just draw you into the songs.
The slow burning "Back into her Heart" is a gem. "Just When I Thought" is delivered with burning conviction. Her voice is complemented by some excellent slide guitar by Billy Watts and a tasty horn section on "That Good Man's Gone". The album finishes with a fine, up-tempo cover of Stephen Bruton's "Big Top Hat" featuring some fine piano playing by Teresa herself. Wearing the producer's hat (and writing many of the songs) is Terry Wilson.
In conclusion this is a strong album that is always welcome on the CD player.
