You can tell that this guy has been round the block a few times. Every track is stamped with the authority that comes with years of experience. This album is a solid piece of rock seasoned with a side order of the blues.
Jay Jesse Johnson can certainly play the guitar - just listen to the fretwork on
"Waiting on the Train" which reminded the BluesBunny of Cream era Clapton. "Laura Lee" would make a great single. Best track however is "Can't Give Up On Love" with its piledriver rhythm and catchy hook. Rock solid backing is provided by B J Zampa on Drums and Ed Corvo on bass.
