You can smell the cigarette smoke as you play this CD. It has the atmosphere of a backstreet bar in her Arizona home. There are six tracks of rather poignant songs on this album. These are some of the least "fluffy bunny" songs that we have heard in a quite a time.

"Western Wind" and "Holiday Song" are positively melancholic but the pace picks right up on "Desolation" like a high speed run through the desert. "Tennessee Gentleman" is compelling, almost hypnotic.

Whilst she reminds the BluesBunny of Chris Isaak at times - if Chris Isaak were a woman that is - this is all good stuff. You can imagine David Lynch using these songs on the soundtrack to one of his films. Fine production from Teddy Morgan as well. We like, you buy.
