It is not often that we get to review of some hard drivin' metal. Glasgow band Attica Rage deliver all the power chords and room shaking power that you would expect of one of the better proponents of this much maligned genre.

Much as you would expect, you get the lung ripping vocals from lead singer Jonny Parr. What you might not expect is some decent songs - especially "Contradiction" - and some surprisingly sensitive drumming. Most drummers - regardless of genre - have a tendency to make as much noise as possible without considering what the song actually needs. Mind you, this band can handle the stadium sing-along too as "Don't Lie to Me" shows. There are only five tracks on this mini album but nothing disappoints and it will be interesting to see how they have developed (this mini album was released in 2005, after all).

This band doesn't kid around. They just play their music and they play it well. Take the opportunity to add it to your collection, play it loud and annoy your neighbours. You know it makes sense.
