There are times when even my somewhat enthusiastic imagination cannot come up with enough words to fill a review and so it is with “Stop Making Noise” by Daydream Three but I should add that noise rock is not really my thing.
Daydream Three - Enzo Popi with Vincenzo Arisco and Alessandro Formica – certainly have the persistence to keep their train on the same track for these ten songs yet the combination of fuzzed out guitars and lost in the mix vocals proved somewhat wearing over the course of this album. I am happy, however, to consider that this was perhaps the point, in artistic terms at least, as many a band in other related genres have used monotony as a means to make their musical impact. That said, even turning the volume right up didn’t increase my interest level.
No doubt there are ears out there who will find “Stop Making Noise” more to their liking but those ears are not my ears.
