You wake up and notice that it already dark. It must be midnight or, most likely, later and, by the simple application of logic, it must therefore be clubbing time so, fuelled by mascara madness, you head off in search of a basement where everyone wears black and the sound system will be playing something like “Euphoria” by Miss FD.
Permanently locked to loop like any escapee from the dancefloor, Miss FD uses her skills with synthetic musical instruments to get you quicky and fluidly from the dark side of the street to the strobe lit maelstrom of spirits in search of redemption synchronised at 140 beats per minute while the lyrics, such as they are, head off into a near existential quest for spiritual enlightenment. This might not make sense in the cold light of day but neither should it as this is undoubtedly a soundtrack for the shadows where daylight will never, and never should, be allowed to intrude.
There are but four songs on this “EP” and all of them make a coherent case for avoiding sunlight. Making spiritual connections might seen an unusual quest for music of this particular genre yet, in the plastic world in which we live, Miss FD has the superglue to make that happen.
