Life is a video game. Who knows - it might be true? It's strange the things that go through your head as you review music. Video games. Quake. Using weapons of mass destruction on alien planets and then going out for some beer. Putting music into words ain't easy.
Here we have a single from Glasgow band Bronto Skylift. There are only two of them apparently but you wouldn't guess that from the cataclysmic combination of loud guitars, part chanted part shouted vocals and energetic drums that make up "Eagle/Falcon". It is the kind of song that should feature on some nineties metal band live album with almost random tempo changes and more than a hint of a drum solo but it only lasts 3 minutes and 18 seconds. Barely enough for it to run across the room and scare you. Because it does.
On the matter of "Danny Glover Isn't Dead", Bronto Skylift are also found guilty of a surprise assault on the senses. Staying just this side of chaos isn't an easy task, you know.
