Next before the court of the Bluesbunny is Sheffield based band Screaming Mimi. They stand accused of being rather good indeed with the release of this single "Electric Thighs"

Looking at the evidence, "Electric Thighs" is a bit of an oddball song with singer Loretta Chantry having at it like PJ Harvey taking on a Patsy Cline song. It's done with style, energy and a fair dash of humour (something that is so often lacking these days) - and to quote the chorus "… I wish I had electric thighs to give you the shock of your life". A class pop song that is too big to be ignored.

A similar amount of verve is also evident in "My Favourite Objects" making it another song to get the old toes tapping and might perhaps induce a bout of dancing as well. Infectious stuff. Rounding things off on this CD single is a surf powered instrumetal called "A New Cure For The Heartache".

Bluesbunny finds Screaming Mimi guilty as charged and we fine them 4 carrots. There is hope for pop music in this country after all.
