This is a high speed ride of infectious Blondie-esque and Ramones influenced power pop that keeps the pace up from beginning to end. It is our duty however to point out that this CD does come with a 'Parental Advisory' warning, although frankly I would have thought the cover itself would have been enough to put off the easily offended!
"Pants Off", is a raucous no nonsense song that gets you rocking along with the band from the outset. Among the other highlights is "Love Up" which strangely has a slight do-wop feeling to it; the almost gentle and more subdued "Swinging on the Moon", and "Life of the Party" with a compulsively catchy rhythmic beat that sweeps you along. To be honest this is really an album of highlights.
The album also features a superb and manically aggressive, yet all too short, version of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made for Walking". Well, if you really must cover a classic song then you should make the effort to do something original rather than just imitate.
With this release Bazooka Jones may have put the 'bum' into album, but they've certainly left it out of the notes!!
