Yusuf Azak is another singer songwriter located in that hotbed of mediocrity called Glasgow and this four track EP ranks amongst the most inept that have ever found their way through the letterbox at Bluesbunny Towers.
There are some potentially decent musical ideas in show, especially in "Ursa Major" which is sort of Simon & Garfunkel does a madrigal but the sound quality is just appalling and the editing is laughably incompetent ("Light Procession" actually made me cringe) so those ideas just get wasted. Something tells me that he did it all himself as well.
It is a pity that Yusuf Azak lacks the confidence or common sense to get in some technical help when it is so obviously needed to assemble his musical ideas. This EP is available as a free download which is probably for the best as you might get a bit upset if you had paid for it.
