A veteran of the Canadian music scene, Bruce Cockburn has knocked out a good number of albums over the years and this live set contains many of his best known songs like "Lovers in a Dangerous Time".
You actually get two CDs for your money with the first being the conventional sort of live set and the second being a rather more freeform collection of sound checks. Either way, the musicianship is immaculate and the inter song banter shows intelligence and humour suggesting that the actual live shows were well worthy attending. The sound likewise is very good indeed as you would expect of something destined to be played on the better hi-fis of this world.
Whilst this album demonstrated the poise and confidence that you would expect of such a seasoned performer, it will be of more interest to his existing fan base than to any potential new converts. There's nothing wrong with this album but it is equally true that there is nothing exciting here either.
