BluesBunny wonders what the world is coming to. In the good old days, pop music was simply fluffy love songs. Happily ever after, that sort of thing. Nowadays, girls just want to have fun and they don't mind telling you about it.

This album from Blondestreak starts off with the pleasingly grungy "Ballerina". We get more of the same with "Crush" and "Cake". Then the bad attitude really kicks in with the somewhat, well, direct "Calvin Klein". This is sparky, spiky guitar pop that stumbles out of the speakers and stamps on your foot. We also get a strange full-on version of "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?" Our favourite track was the bouncy "Glad". Balanced against all this is an ill-advised karaoke style take on Abba's Dancing Queen". Oops!

So, Blondestreak are like the badly behaved offspring of someone like Debbie Gibson or Tiffany. Coming to a shopping mall near you (if only to steal your wallet).
