Sirens are a band based around the talented Kay Harris and Molly Pauken. This 12 track album - their first - highlights their songwriting skills and the smooth, sonorous vocals of Ms Harris.

This album is an effective and enjoyable collection. Listen to the fine harmonies and catchy guitar riff on "Work it Out". "Smile" is sentimental but uplifting. "Time Thing" is almost, well, funky. The best track, however, is saved to last in the form of the ethereal "Safe Little Places". This tale of the veil that we all hide behind is positively poetic.

Thanks to intelligent songs and those exquisite vocals, this is an album that you will return to time and time again. Recommended.
